Nature Research Center

Location: Raleigh, NC

Construction Manager: Clancy & Theys

About this Project:
An iconic addition to downtown Raleigh, the Nature Research Center is a striking extension of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. This project is a celebration of science, sustainability, and architectural innovation.
A granite façade sourced from Mount Airy, North Carolina, showcasing local materials and craftsmanship. A dramatic, suspended globe installation—a to-scale replica of Earth—hanging from the building’s structure, serving as both a visual centerpiece and educational tool.

This project not only enhances the museum’s mission but also serves as a landmark of educational architecture in North Carolina.
