First Presbyterian Church

Location: Raleigh, NC

Construction Manager: Clancy & Theys

About this Project:
Originally constructed in 1818, First Presbyterian Church is one of Raleigh’s most historic places of worship. After a devastating fire damaged the church’s iconic arched entrance. In 2012, the team reconstructed the original archway, preserving its historic character while using modern materials and techniques. Added a new architectural addition, seamlessly blending with the existing structure. They honored the church’s legacy rebuilding the original arch as seen on the church’s history page.
